Dick Daniels

Dick Daniels (April 19 1910-March 25 1985) was a heavyweight professional boxer from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Professional career

Daniels started his professional career with a loss to 105-46-10 veteran Frank Moody, losing by second-round knockout. This debut was followed by 10 consecutive wins, and Daniels had established himself as a competent prizefighter. Daniels fought 35-2-2 Charley Retzlaff for the vacant Minnesota State Heavyweight Title in March 1932, losing by first-round knockout. Daniels would retire after consecutive losses to Tony Galento in December 1938 and Harry Thomas in January 1939, having compiled a final record of 43-20-3 with 11 wins by knockout.[1]
