- Dhadi jatha
-
Dhadhi Jatha is a traditional recitation-song of Sikh history. A traditional Sikh group, consisting of at least four members, performs this expression. Three of them would be musicians, while the fourth person explains the background to the song. The three musicians would either sing individual verses one by one, or a main chorus together. The traditional dhadi instruments are the sarangi and the dhad drum. The performance gain momentum and vigor as the hymns are conventionally used to rekindle Sikh spirit.
