Smith, J. L. B, 1957The Frillfin turkeyfish (Pterois mombasae) is a fish of the genus Pterois. Found in the tropical Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific, it grows to a maximum size of 20 cm. Typically found in soft-bottomed areas of the ocean, often in conjunction with invertebrate growth (for example, sponges). Moderate commercial value.
