Derrick Philippe Boduin Gosselin (Belgium, 1956) is a Flemish - Belgian engineer and economist. Currently Head of Cabinet of the (Prime) Minister President of the Flemish Government. He is a specialist in energy and in international strategy and marketing.

Business career
He started in 1984 at Arthur Andersen and joined with Julien De Wilde and Dirk Wauters in 1990, John J. Goossens, when he took the helm of Alcatel Bell.
(1990-2002) Alcatel: Different line and staff functions. As of 1995: Member of the Executive Committee - As of 1998: vice president marketing & business development for Northern & Central Europe including, Japan, Korea, en MEA.
(2002-2006) Suez: executive vice president of the international energy branch of Suez, responsible for the worldwide strategy, portfolio management, early development and business communications in electricity and gas. Strongly involved in the early development of the group in MEA and BRIC.
(2007-2009) GDF Suez (Paris HQ): Group SVP heading the worldwide development & strategy. Introduced new methods for strategic risk management.
He is a member of the Global Agenda Council on Strategic Foresight[1] of the World Economic Forum.
Political career
Since 2009 Head of Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Flemish Government Kris Peeters, in charge of economy, finance, international affaires & trade and future thinking. Government representative and member of the Board of the Agency for Innovation by Science and Technology of Flanders (IWT) since 2010. (1982-1984): attaché at the department for Scientific Policy - office of the Belgium Prime Minister Wilfried Martens.
Academic career
Full Professor at Ghent University: Business/International marketing - Strategy.
Fellow of The Royal Academies for Science and the Arts of Belgium.[2].
Associate fellow of Green Templeton College and of the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society (InSIS), Oxford Martin School, both at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on decision making in highly complex and uncertain situations.[3] The so called Futures en Foresight research based on strategic scenario planning or strategic conversations. He worked with Sir David King (scientist), Lord Martin Rees, Steve Rayner and Rafael Ramirez.
(2008-2011) Board member of the European Council of Applied Sciences and Engineering (Euro-CASE)
(1999-2003) President of Flanders Business School .

Education
He studied engineering, economics and business administration at Ghent University, University of Oxford (Green Templeton College), London Business School, Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
