LebonDen Sorte Skole (English: "The Black School") is a Copenhagen DJ group. They have been playing at various clubs and venues since 2002. The group uses up to six turntables and three mixers to create a long continuous mix of selected LP's that range in genre from Neil Young to Malk de Koijn.
The group is especially known for its live performances using only turntables and mixers without additional computer effects. Den Sorte Skole consists of Aage Jæger, Langefinger and Lebon. The group was awarded the 2006 Danish hip-hop prize for Best Danish DJ's by StoreVega.[citation needed]
Lektion #1
Lektion # 1 is the first CD release from Den Sorte Skole. The record was released in 2006, and the 57 minute mix consists of 74 records which were mixed using four decks and three mixers. After the album's release, Den Sorte Skole and Lektion #1 were mentioned in several print media sources, and the album was mentioned on many hip hop forums as the best Danish hip hop release of 2006.
Lektion #2
Their track #10 of the album Lektion 2 was recorded with the addition of the popular Turkish song called Yaylalar by Selda Bağcan.
