Demetri Catrakilis (born 6 July 1989(1989-07-06)) is a South African rugby union footballer who plays for the Western Province provincial team. He attended St John's College in Johannesburg

Varsity Cup

Demetri Catrakilis played for the University of Cape Town during the 2011 Varsity Cup. He was the highest point scorer of the tournament with 136 points and thus helped UCT win their first Varsity Cup against Tuks 26 - 16.

Provincial career

Vodacom Cup

After a successful Varsity Cup Demetri Catrakilis was drafted into the Western Province Vodacom Cup team as a substitute for the regular kickers at the club. Demetri's only scored 3 points in the Quarter Final loss against the Sharks XV.

Currie Cup

Demetri Catrakilis got his chance to play in the Currie Cup in the first week against the GWK Griquas. He came off the substitute bench in the last 10 minutes for Gary Van Aswegen who became injured. With the Flyhalf problem at WP Demetri was chosen to start against the Platinum Leopards in Potchefstroom, he scored 22 points as WP won 47 - 9.

In the three games that he has played for Western Province in the Currie Cup he has scored 39 points with the boot at 84.21% conversion rate.
