Delmi Álvarez

Delmi Álvarez (born 1958)^[1] is a Galician photojournalist and independent filmmaker working for Global Assignment/GettyImages.^[2]

He spent 1990–91 in Cuba covering the life of the Cubans in a project: Cuba, el ultimo bastion: la lucha de un pueblo. For this photo essay, he received the FOTOPRESS award in Barcelona.^[2] He has spent years photographing the Galician diaspora,^[3] and worked for three years as a war correspondent in the former Yugoslavia.^[4]
