Deildedalen Valley

Deildedalen Valley (71°24′S 12°43′E / 71.4°S 12.717°E / -71.4; 12.717) is a small valley partly filled with ice and opening to the north, lying between Mount Deildenapen and a similar mountain mass just westward in the Ostliche Petermann Range, Wohlthat Mountains, Queen Maud Land. Discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39. Replotted from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956–60, and named Deildedalen (the dividing valley, or border mark valley as "deilde" is an old name for a border mark or border stone in Norwegian.).
