Lanreath

Lanreath

Lanreath is a small village in Cornwall, United Kingdom, with around 500 inhabitants. Located about 5 miles north west of Looe. The only school is Lanreath CE Primary School which had around 11 pupils at the time of its closure in August 2007.

On 14 May 2007, Lanreath was the subject of a BBC documentary, Power to the People, about the plight of rural villages and the closure of Lanreath Primary School. It featured the 'annexing' of the green in Islington, London by the people of Lanreath to highlight their cause.
