The December 2009 Narathiwat Bombing was a bombing that happened on December 8th, 2009. The bombing happened at a local Thai market in Thailand's south, killing two people and wounding nine others. The blast happened about 1 km from a hotel where Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and his visiting Malaysian counterpart, Najib Razak were having lunch during a trip to the local region that same day. Sources say the bomb was hidden in the gas tank of a motorcycle.[1]
