DeVicq Glacier

DeVicq Glacier (75°00′S 131°00′W / 75°S 131°W / -75; -131), is a large Antarctic glacier that drains the area between Ames Range and McCuddin Mountains in Marie Byrd Land and flows north to enter the Getz Ice Shelf to the southeast of Grant Island. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-65. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant David C. deVicq, U.S. Navy (USN), engineering officer in charge of building new Byrd Station, 1960-61.[1]
