Daya (Senior Inspector)

Daya is a fictional character in Sony Entertainment Television's TV show C.I.D. (TV series). The character's rank in the detective team is Senior Inspector. The character is portrayed by actor Dayanand Shetty.

Character development

Daya is presented as one of the smartest officers of the series. He is also considered the strongest, often breaking down locked doors. He is the best friend of fellow inspector Abhijeet, who has lost his memory and trusts none except Daya. Daya is very dear to all his fellow workers. In one episode, he was near death, and all of his fellow workers burst into tears. In the next episode, he was again fine and all his fellow workers became jolly once again. However, Daya is quite an emotional person.^[1] Daya likes all his colleagues, but likes to make fun of Fredricks (Freddy), a fellow worker who is very funny.He is also known to give criminals hard slaps so they would say the truth.
