Work as a dietitian
Blatner is a registered dietitian, certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD), and a nutrition consultant to the Chicago Cubs major league baseball team. She has worked as the dietitian for Lifetime Television, DePaul University and Northwestern Memorial Hospital Wellness Institute. Dawn was also a national media spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association[3] for 9 years and has 13 years experience working with clients to improve health outcomes such as obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer. Most recently Dawn received Lifetime Television 2011 Remarkable Woman Award for her work in the field of nutrition.[4]

Blatner is a regular blogger for the Huffington Post,[5] where she maintains a regular column, as well as for USA Today. She has also written the book "The Flexitarian Diet[6] ", ISBN 978-0-07-154957-8, published by the McGraw-Hill press.

Blatner has been featured as a trusted food & nutrition expert on many TV programs such as the Dr. Oz show, Fox News,[7] ABC News, and a host of others.
