Davies Dome

Davies Dome (63°53′S 58°3′W / 63.883°S 58.05°W / -63.883; -58.05) is a small ice dome with rock walls at the margins, rising to 400 m southeast of Stoneley Point on James Ross Island. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1987 after Gwion ("Taff") Davies, general assistant on Operation Tabarin at Port Lockroy, 1943–44, and Hope Bay, 1944-45.
