David Jones is an English sports broadcaster working for Sky Sports News.
David Jones went to Stokesley Comprehensive school in North Yorkshire.Jones became a presenter on Sky Sports News in February 2003 after spending two seasons as a pitch-side reporter on Premiership Plus. Having cut his journalistic teeth as a news reporter on the Derbyshire Times in Chesterfield, he joined Sky for the launch of Sky Sports News in 1998.
He presents the 10am-3pm slot on Sky Sports News. He had previously presented from 3-7pm with Georgie Thompson for a number of years. David is also a keen follower of many sports, particularly football and tennis.
Jones has also presented The Football League on Sky Sports since the start of 2007-08 season normally with Peter Beagrie. Since January 2011, he has been the main stand-in presenter of Sky Sports live Super Sunday and Monday Night Football Premier League coverage, following the departures of Richard Keys and Andy Gray.
