David Hopkirk (born 17 January 1993) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder.

Career

After initially playing with their youth team, Hopkirk signed an 18-month professional contract with Hamilton Academical in February 2010.[1] After signing a contract extension in May of that year,[2] Hopkirk made his professional debut for Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premier League on 13 November 2010, at the age of 17, in a 1-3 home defeat against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.[3]

Hopkirk was released by Hamilton on 22 September 2011.[4] Following his release, he began training with English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion with Championship Cardiff City and Ipswich Town said to be interested.[5]


International Career

He made his international debut for Scotland U19 in May 2011.[6]
