David Clewell (born 1955) is an American poet.

Life
He graduated from University of Wisconsin and Washington University with an M.F.A. He teaches at Webster University.[1]
His work has appeared Harper's,[2] Poetry,[3][4] The Kenyon Review, The Missouri Review,[5] The Georgia Review, Ontario Review, New Letters, and Yankee.
He lives in St. Louis, Missouri.[6]
He is currently the poet laureate for the state of Missouri, serving until 2012.[7]
