- David Isay

David A. Isay (born 1966) is an American radio producer, founder of Sound Portraits Productions,[1] which produces the StoryCorps programs.[2][3]
He grew up in New Haven and in Manhattan. He graduated from New York University in 1987.[4]
In 2003, he set up oral history recording booths in Vanderbilt Hall inside Grand Central Terminal.[5] He produced Yiddish Radio Project with Henry Sapoznik, salvaged recordings of Victor Packer,[6] and recordings from the Georgia death chamber.[7]
