The Darzada tribe, also known as Darzadag, is one of the tribes of Baloch people. The largest population lives in Makran.
Description
These people originally inhabited the Arabian Peninsula and other Gulf countries. The word Darzada means "person who has came from some other place".
Other than Makran, they are also populated in other parts of Pakistani Balochistan , Iranian Balochistan, Sindh province of Pakistan, Arab countries mostly Gulf States, Iraq, Syria, and Egypt. These people were brought in to Makran as slaves for Balochs and other nations which were traded by the Indian and Arab pirates. Some notable pirates who were involved in these practices include Raja Dahir who was later defeated and killed by Muhammad Bin Qasim.
Some personalities of the Dardaza tribe are Lala Muneer, a Baloch leader that was allegedly killed by ISI; Mir Jaggo Baloch, A vigorous commander of Sarmachar (a Baloch separatist group); Shakeel Ahmed Baloch, a veteran political leader and a former member of the Pakistani parliament; Faiz Mohammad Faizok, winner of a world singing competition award; Arif Baloch, winner of the best singing competition award of Balochistan; and Sabzal Samagi, a Balochi folk singer.
