Foam, rubber and velcro (darts)Slogan "It's Nerf or Nothin'!" Official website Dart Tag is a sub-line of Hasbro's Nerf Blasters. It differentiates itself from the main N-Strike line by being more competition-oriented. The line consists mainly of blasters that fire Velcro-tipped foam darts. Players wear Dart Tag vests or jerseys lined with patches of Velcro, and scoring is determined by where the opponents are hit with the darts.[1] Over the years, Dart Tag blasters have been sold in different colors and mostly in pairs - either red and blue or orange and green. From 2011 onwards, the main color of the blasters is yellow, while the jerseys and eyewear are offered in different colors.
In 2009, Hasbro started the Nerf Dart Tag League an official Nerf sport held annually in the United States. The most recent event in 2011 was held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.[2]

Sharp Shot
The Sharp Shot is the entry-level blaster in the Dart Tag line. It is a single-shot pistol with a slide cocking mechanism, similar to the N-Strike Scout IX-3. The blaster has an ammo holder that stores three extra darts and a detachable carabiner for quick-release action when stored on the user's belt loop.[2] The Sharp Shot is sold individually or in a pair as part of the Dart Tag 2-Player Starter Pack, which also includes two training jerseys and two pairs of Vision Gear eyewear.[3]
Speedload 6
The Speedload 6 is a large pistol with a slide cocking mechanism similar to the Maverick REV-6, Recon CS-6 and Vortex Vigilon. It has a built-in storage clip that holds up to six darts, with the loading chamber located on the upper left of the blaster.[2]
Quick 16
The Quick 16 is a shotgun-type blaster with a slam-fire cocking mechanism similar to the Raider CS-35, resulting in a maximum firing rate of two darts per second. The blaster comes with an integrated banana clip that holds up to 16 darts, with the loading chamber located on the upper left of the blaster.[1]
Speedswarm
The Speedswarm is an upcoming pistol that is essentially a sized-down Swarmfire. Like the Swarmfire, it is a front-loading blaster, but it holds up to 10 darts and runs on six AA batteries. Its firing rate is two to three darts per second.
Swarmfire
The Swarmfire is Dart Tag's flagship blaster. It is a front-loading assault rifle that requires six C-size batteries for its fully automatic motor that fires three darts per second. The blaster comes with a detachable stock and holds up to 20 darts in its rotating barrel.[2][4]
