Danielle Maria Lineker (née Bux), (born 15 June 1979) is a Welsh lingerie model,^[1] television personality and actress. She is married to former English footballer Gary Lineker.

Early life

Born in Cardiff to Kim and Roy Bux, who divorced while she was young, Danielle lived with her mother, three half-siblings and stepfather, Alex Mohamed,^[2] in Butetown, Cardiff. She attended Cantonian High School in Fairwater.^[3]

Modelling career

Lineker started modelling (working as Danielle Bux) at the age of 18 after winning a place in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic contest in Las Vegas, USA. After training as an air stewardess and working for Virgin Atlantic,^[1][4] she became a lingerie model and has since modelled for various brands, including La Senza,^[5] and appeared on the cover of various magazines including Maxim^[6] and Fabulous.

Television career

Bux assisted Sir Trevor McDonald onstage at the 2008 National TV Awards.

She finished in third place in the 2009 series of ITV's Hell's Kitchen.^[1]

Billed as Danelle Lineker, she made her stage debut in Calender Girls at the Bristol Hippodrome, beginning 26 January 2011.
