Dance education

Dance Education is a theory of education which heavily incorporates dance, and other forms of artful movement, into the curriculum.[1]

Dance education may include the study of formalised dance disciplines:

Alternatively, dance education may include the study of less formal dance, or social dance disciplines:

  • Line Dancing
  • Sequence Dancing
  • Freestyle Dance

Professional dance education

Professional or vocational dance education may be provided by both public and private sector institutions. Private institutions normally specialise in dance, and are commonly known as dance schools or colleges.
