Damon Rensing is the head men's soccer coach at Michigan State University. He is the fifth men's soccer coach in school history succeeding the great Joe Baum, who guided MSU for 32 years. In his first year as head coach for the Spartans, he led the team to an 11-8-3 mark, including a second round appearance in the NCAA tournament. He previously served as an assistant coach at MSU for the previous ten seasons.
He played his college soccer at Michigan State, where he was a four-time letterwinner and three-time starter. From 1993 to 1996, he played in 76 matches, and scored 7 goals and 13 assists.
