BhutanDistrict Mongar District Elevation 6,890 ft (2,100 m) Time zone BTT (UTC+6) Dramitse (or Dametsi) is a town in the east part of Mongar District, E. Bhutan.[1] In 2005, its population was 541 (2005 census).[2] It is situated on a hill opposite the town of Tashigang.
The town is the location of Dramitse Monastery, which is the home of the Dramitse Ngacham or "Drum Dance" originated by Lama Kunga Gyaltsen[3], and the seat in Bhutan of Peling Sungtrul, who is revered as the speech incarnation of Pema Lingpa.
