Daisy Cocco De Filippis

Daisy Cocco De Filippis is a Dominican-American writer and educator. She is the author of several influential works of fiction and non-fiction dealing with Dominican and Dominican-American women.

Biography

She was born in Santo Domingo on February 25, 1949. Her parents moved to the United States when she was 13 years old. She served for many years as professor of Spanish and Latin-American Literature at The City University of New York (York College).[1] She is currently president of Naugatuck Valley Community College.
