TK Rodriguez is a
Nueyorican songwriter andrecord producer who entered the music scene in 1982. His first lessons of production would include working with Miami Urban Dance producer'Pretty' Tony Butler on artistDebbie Deb ,Freestyle Express andTrinere . Getting his first mixing experience on songs 'When I Hear Music', and 'LookOut Weekend'. As an early member of the New York Hip Hop community he would work alongside producing legendsKurtis Blow , andArthur Baker . Two years later he would join forces with producer George Anthony Mauro becoming the lyrical and melodic driving force of a production team responsible for several successful New York club tracks. TK was an early member of The Brooklyn Funk Essentials and part of Arthur Baker's Shakedown Posse. His productions gave him the opportunity to collaborate with many artists and producers includingLa India ,Brenda K. Starr , theFat Boys ,Corina , Orchestra 45, Daryll Pandi,Robert Clivilles , David Cole, Luke, Menudo,Eric B. & Rakim ,Stevie B ,Amir Bayan and others. TK has worked actively on creating new ways to help promote music, utilizing new media technologies. His forward thinking offered several new models of music distribution using the strength of the internet. It was that thinking that helped create a technology system in2001 that utilized peer to peer networks information to assist music companies with marketing, promotion and radio programming. He foundedUrban Latino music media company Audio27, Inc in 2005, to focus on the promotion and exposure ofLatino Hip Hop , and Spanish R&B around the world. In 2004, he returned to playing music and is active in promoting the new urban sounds emerging from Latino artist and producers worldwide.
