D425 is a state road connecting Ploče and the D513 state road near Mali Prolog.[1]
The road serves as a connecting road between the A1 motorway Ravča interchange to the Port of Ploče. A portion of the road is executed as a four-lane expressway, which is planned to be extended in future to the new Ploče interchange[1] of the A1 motorway.[2] The road is 9.5 km (5.9 mi) long.[3]
The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, state owned company.[4]

This intersection is considered to be temporary, as the expressway is planned to be extended to the A1 motorway Ploče interchange, which is expected to be completed in 2013.[1][2]
