Cyril Zhivkovich (Bulgarian: Кирил Живкович); (Pirot, Ottoman Empire, 1730 – Temska Monastery, near Pirot, 1807) was a Bulgarian cleric and writer.[1]
As Cyril noted, he was born "in the city of Pirot, in the Bulgarian lands, in the Summer of the year 1730".[2] He wrote in total two manuscripts and published two printed books. Most prominent from his writings is the Manuscript from Temska Monastery. This manuscript is a monument, reflecting the state of the Torlakian dialects in the middle of the 18th century. Zhivkovich issued in 1794 in Vienna the book "The lifes of the Serbian Saints and enlighteners Simeon and Sava".[3] Cyril died in 1807 in the Temska Monastery.[4]
