In business since 1995, CyraCom International is headquartered and operated in the United States, with its headquarters in Tucson, Arizona and interpreter centers in Tucson, Arizona; Phoenix, Arizona; and Las Cruces, New Mexico. The company services the majority of its calls through US-based interpreter call centers.

History
CyraCom International formed in 1995 under the name Kevmark. In that same year, the company patented the first dual-handset phone[3]. In 1998, Kevmark changed its name to CyraCom International.
Since its founding, CyraCom International has developed into one of the largest and most innovative language services companies in the United States. In 2004, CyraCom was listed on the InfoWorld 100 for innovative technology developments in multiple language voice recognition.[4] In a 2008 outsourcing survey by Modern healthcare, CyraCom was ranked #4 on the list of Top 20 Outsourcing Firms, 2007.[5] In that same year, CyraCom was ranked the 4th largest telephone interpreting company in the world.[6]In 2009, the American Hospital Association awarded exclusive endorsement to CyraCom for its translation and interpretation solutions.[7][8][9] Later in 2009, CyraCom and its sister company Voiance became the first over-the-phone interpretation companies in the U.S. to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification,[10][11] and CyraCom was ranked the world's 2nd largest telephone interpretation company by Common Sense Advisory.[1]In 2009, CyraCom announced the acquisition of Language Learning Enterprises, Inc. (LLE).[12]
The name CyraCom is possibly a reference to the play Cyrano de Bergerac, in which communicating language effectively is a major theme; "Cyra" is a reference to the character Cyrano de Bergerac and "Com" is a reference to communication.

Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI)
CyraCom International specializes in and is the world's second largest provider of OPI services.
All of the company’s interpreters have specialized training and provide OPI services in over 170 languages, answer calls 24/7, and answer calls in 15 seconds or less on average. The company provides OPI services through their patented dual-handset telephone, which enables face-to-face communication, or any other telephonic device.
The company’s OPI services are enhanced through advanced technologies which include a state-of-the-art telecommunications platform with voice-activated language selection; intelligent call routing; voice navigation; an additional person anytime option and customized record integration. The company’s online account management and reporting service helps clients manage and monitor their OPI services and track the language needs of their clients.
Video Remote Interpretation (VRI)
CyraCom International provides VRI services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals. The company provides 11 popular languages, including American Sign Language (ASL), and utilizes Polycom PVX software to ensure that video and sound are transmitted clearly and accurately.
On-Site Interpretation
CyraCom International provides On-Site Interpretation services including expertly trained interpreters, interpreter scheduling, and on-demand or scheduled interpreter visits.
Document Translation
CyraCom International offers a variety of Document Translation services including translation, editing, proofreading, multilingual desktop publishing, and post-graphics review.
Community Involvement
CyraCom International is actively involved in the Tucson community and is one of Tucson's largest employers[13]. The company supports local education, providing scholarships to the Agnese Haury Institute for Interpretation at The University of Arizona and sponsors other local schools. The company was also a large sponsor of the Southern Arizona Aids Foundation's Moda Provocateur fundraiser and is involved in other local fundraisers and charities.
