The Cutterman Insignia is an award given by the United States Coast Guard to represent an individual's desire to pursue a seagoing career. It is awarded after the successful completion of specific Performance Qualification Standards (PQS). The award becomes permanent after 5 years of cumulative time afloat.[1]

The version awarded to officers is gold-toned, while the version awarded to enlisted members is pewter-toned.
