Characters
Lee Han-Ah
Lee Han-Ah is an ordinary student girl, who was bullied by Yoo-Min in grades 1 and 2, not understanding this was his way of showing affection to her. Han-Ah is also the captain of her high school but is not a talented fighter; she wins by using the 'innocent girl' act. Han-Ah is not enthusiastic about her role as captain, but her friends push her to do it regardless of what happens. Before Han-Ah was captain, the students from the boys' school bullied the girls mercilessly. Her 'friend' Jang Young-Sun is at the core of the captain plot. She meets Yoo Min as an 18 year old on the streets on day, and they start dating without her knowing that he was THE Suh Yoo Min who traumatized her when she was a child. Later, she learns about his true identity and becomes scared of him. However, after a series of encounters with Yoo Min, she understands that he truly cares for her. They start going out again but he makes her into his kkobong. Later she becomes Mi Yoo's 'girlfriend', because he realizes she is his ideal type of woman. During the exams terms Yoo-Min takes her to meet his family, and his grandmother tells him she won't allow him to be with her because her narrow hip could not bear children (the root of all the tormenting).
Suh Yoo Min
The boy who 'protected' Han-Ah through grades 1 and 2, who bullied her instead. He is the captain of the Gwang-Jin High school gang. He meets Han-ah again when they are older, while he was escaping from a gang. Later, she ask him if he wants to go out with her and he accepts, with her not knowing he was her bully. He appears to be cruel and savage, but underneath he is a very sensitive boy and a little clumsy. He is deeply in love with Han-Ah, although he expresses his love through actions that may seem violent to her. They break up because she tells him that she doesn't like his personality, but after she realizes that he really loved her and starts to understand him. Later, he makes her his kko-bong through 'kidnapping' her friends. They start liking each other and a strong bond was formed between them, until Young-Sun's breaking-up plan works out with help from Mi Yoo. He becomes very mad at Han-Ah at that point that he even slapped her very hard; up until that point, he never touched her violently. He is hospitalized because a gang fight he got into to vent his heartbreak. He learns that Han-Ah has been kidnapped and goes to search for her. He discovers that she is in her house and rescues her from Mi Yoo. Then he returns to the hospital, and his family (Father, Mother and Grandmother) visits him while Han-Ah comes in the room. His grandmother tells them her butt is ready to bare children [1], and such as comments from the family members. Then the series ends with Han-Ah giving him a cross-stitch for their 'hundred day anniversary'[2] and with him asking her to go out with him (for him she was still his kko-bong) and then with her biting and hitting him.
Jang Young-Sun
She is an attractive young woman who is daughter of a rich man. She pretends to be Han-Ah's friend, but in truth she envies her and doesn't want her to be happy. It's been told that she is the daughter of a mistress. Also, she used to date Mi-Yoo before moving, but she broke up with him because he suffocated her. She tries a lot of different and persistent methods to break up Han-Ah and Yoo-Min, but all her extra efforts were in vain. She decides to use Mi-Yoo, and it results in Mi Yoo catching Han-Ah together. After they separate, she no longer talks to Mi-Yoo, and he becomes aware that she was only using him. He tells her that she can't date Yoo-Min. She ignores him and goes to visit Yoo-Min at the hospital. Then Mi-Yoo calls her telling her to forgive him for what he is going to do. She discovers, later by a phone call, that he kidnapped Han-Ah, and he tells her that Han-Ah is the only one she has opened her heart to. She realizes is true. After Yoo-Min saves Han-Ah, she visits Mi-Yoo at the hospital, and he tells her that she hasn't changed. She is still the same spoiled, lonely girl from kindergarten. She meets Han-Ah outside and Han-Ah hugs her. Then she tells her that she was envious of her happiness and of her scent. Han-Ah tells her the secret Mi-Yoo told her while the kidnapping : "Let me tell you something about your future, You'll... be happy".[3]
Han Mi-Yoo
He is the captain of the Chungsan High School gang. He loves tiny and frail things, such as puppies. He meets Han-Ah while 'saving' a puppy from her. He claims that Han-Ah is her ideal type of girl, a girl with long, straight, front legs like those of a cocker spaniel, high neck like a poodle, and a strait gait. He was deep in love with Jang Youn-Sun, but they broke up because she told him that she didn't like him. Later, he broke up with Han-Ah, and he 'reconciles' with Yung-Sun in exchange for listening to her. But Yung-Sun only wanted to use him to break up Hana-Ah and Yoo-Min, using a drug for him to kiss Han-Ah. He regrets his actions, but he wanted to be with Young-Sun. He realizes she was using him and tells her that she can't see Yoo-Min anymore. When she ignores him, he becomes mad and decides to do something that would affect her. He kidnaps Han-Ah and calls Yung-Sun. He tells her that Han-Ah is the only person she had opened her heart to. Yoo-Min comes to Han-Ah's house (where Mi-Yoo kidnapped Han-Ah) and rescues her. Han-Ah attacks Mi-Yoo when he tries to beat up Yoo-Min, thus, hospitalizing him.
