Culrav (Hindi: कलरव) is the cultural festival of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad (MNNIT or simply NIT Allahabad). It is a 3 days long annual festival celebrated at national level in springs (in Feb or march). Culrav gives a platform for the students of MNNIT along with the students of all over the India to participate in a event which has a diverse colors of culture. It is one of the biggest inter college cultural festival of North India.

website of Culrav 2012 has been launched on 11-11-11 at 11:11:11 pm. Culrav'12 is going to be held on 3 days span of 26 to 28 Jan.

This Culrav witnessed the 50th anniversary of MNNIT. Mr. Rahul Gandhi ,Member of Praliament, visited college campus on this ocassion^[1]

Culrav being diverse in nature comprises of many events.

Drakroom This is an event where picture quality does not matter. Click with your phone, camera, or even your webcam! just use your imagination and click the pics.

Fine Art

This is the competion of art lovers. there are many sub competition under this heading.

Folk Dance

This competition comprises of various categories of folk dances including Bhangra,Rajasthani,Garba,Bengali and many maore.it is the best event for viewers to see the cultures from whole India on just one floor.

Aayaam

Drama lovers people fighteach other dramatically under this category.it is like the heart of Culrav it has various sub categories like.

• Nukkad (Street Play)
• Nautanki(10-15 mins short play)
• Pratibimb(stage plays of duration more than 30 mins)
• Khichadi(on the spot play making)

and many more.

Razmatazz

It is a western dance event. it is more of the competitions of Culrav which attract large number of audience.

Resonance

Young singers, musicians waits eagerly for this event to rock the audience.this competition is divided into 2 subcategorie, eastern and western.

Surabhi

This competition is to judge that how good is you in speaking ,writing and understanding our national language Hindi.there are also may sub events under this category.

Students who are fashion awakened ,come on the floor of culrav to show there imagination in the language of fancy clothes and lot of style.

Organization

The festival is organized by the students, under the guidance of SAC president.A core team is formed consisting of final year students.core team comprises of..

1. 3 GS(general sectretaries),which is the head of Culrav.
2. 3 OS(organizing sectretaries)
3. Marketing coordinators.
4. Hospitality coordinator

Then a team is formed consisting of head of each events and competitions finance, marketing and public relations. Each category of competition is managed by coordinators with help of secretaries and volunteers.

Culrav draws students from most of the reputed colleges of India like IT-BHU, NIT Bhopal, Allahabad University, BHU, IIIT-A, NIT Patna, HBTI Kanpur, MMMEC Gorakhpur, IET Lucknow, IIIT Gwaliar and many others colleges.
