Randall, 1955Ctenochaetus binotatus, commonly known as the twospot surgeonfish, is a tang fish native to the Indo-Pacific. It is a reef fish occurring at depths from 10–50 m (33–165 ft) and can grow to 22 cm in length. It is a brownish color with green tinged stripes along the body and similarly colored spots on the face. The eye is surrounded by a small area of vivid blue. It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade.
