History

Crutchin Melton is a fictional character developed in late 1999. She is based on that of an old woman, with curly black hair and greenish colored skin, who harnesses the power of her crutch for evil to battle her enemies. After an incident with creator Logan Booker's leg, he jokingly said "be my crutch" to fellow creator Byron Barnes, and with a little thought she was born. The name "Melton" comes from a girl who went to school with the artists, though it is not fully understood why this name was chosen.

Production

(1999-2003)

Crutchin Melton, after her creation, was made into a trading card series with future plans for a comic book debut. Only one series was ever produced, and it included sixteen cards. After being discontinued and brought back twice, she was finally taken off the market in late 2003 after a four year span. Due to the short run, the comic book series was never published.

(2009-Present)

The creators celebrated the tenth anniversary of "Crutchin Melton" in late 2009. As of September 2009 the trading card series has been put back into production, and a new series, which will include reprints of the originals and new art, is set to be released. There are no plans to continue the development of the comic series, but there is talk of an action figure line to be released sometime in 2010.

Enemies

Throughout the series run there were several enemies introduced.

Wheelchair Abueda was the main enemy throughout the series. Her weapon was the infamous wheelchair of death.

Professor Yokley was another enemy introduced into the storyline. His weapon was a spiraled guitar which he used to hypnotize his opponents.
