Creehan Cliff

Creehan Cliff (75°47′S 115°26′W / 75.783°S 115.433°W / -75.783; -115.433) is a cliff about 6 nautical miles (11 km) east-northeast of Richmond Peak on the north side of Toney Mountain in Marie Byrd Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from ground surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-71. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant Patrick E. Creehan, MC, U.S. Navy Reserve, Flight Surgeon of Squadron VXE-6 during Operation Deep Freeze 1971 and 1972.
