San Antonio, TexasEducation Texas State University Occupation Engineer and National Cyber Security Advisor Craig Tobias is an author and high-tech entrepreneur.
Tobias is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of WiiKno Inc and the Chief Architect for the Cyber-Ops Wiki project being commissioned by the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC).[citation needed] He co-founded WiiKno after leaving Cisco Systems where he was Cisco's Web 2.0 Architect. While at Cisco, he headed a number of Web 2.0 projects including Cisco's external Web 2.0 collaboration effort where customers can share information on the deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair of Cisco equipment. Craig also headed up an effort to deploy a Web 2.0 platform to monitor and manage all of Cisco's operations.[citation needed]
In all Tobias spent 10 years at Cisco as an R&D engineer.[citation needed] He participated in the development of a number of network monitoring and management products. He previously was a senior engineer at International Network Services (INS), and an active duty member of the United States Air Force.[citation needed] Tobias also holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BS Computer Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas State University respectively.[citation needed]
An active participant in the community and in the non-profit arena, Tobias is a registered firefighter and EMT with North Lake Fire & Rescue outside of Austin, TX.[citation needed] Tobias also serves on the board of trustees for several charity organizations in both DC and the Austin area.[citation needed]
