Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud (Arabic: متعب الثاني بن عبدالله) (born 1953) is the Commander of the Saudi National Guard since 2010. He is also a state minister.[1] He is a son of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.
Early life and Education
He was born in Riyadh in 1953. His mother is Jawahir bint Muhammad. He went to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.[2]
Political career
He became a General in the Saudi Arabian National Guard. He was officially the Assistant Deputy Commander for SANG Executive Affairs. In 2009, King Abdullah made him Minister of SANG. He was relieved from military duty. On November 17, 2010 he became Commander of SANG.[3] He conducted a major $3 billion reorganization of SANG to develop its firepower and artillery. [4]
