The Médaille commémorative de la guerre 1870–1871 (Commemorative medal for the 1870–1871 war) was a bronze French medal established by a law of 9 November 1911 for those who had served under French colours in France or Algeria between July 1870 and February 1871, during the Franco-Prussian War. Engraved by Georges Lemaire, its obverse showed the profile of Miss Fernande Dubois, an artist at the Opéra-Comique, and its reverse bore the legend "Aux défenseurs de la Patrie" ("to the defenders of the fatherland") and the dates "1870–1871".
