Climate
Comano and its nearby, although the sea is only 30 km away, have a climate considerably colder than the sea shore. This is mainly due to the nearness of the Appennino. Summer is hot with main high temperatures of 26°C, but nights are cool with main lows of 13°C. Summer thunderstorms are frequent because the hot and humid air rises from the sea and condenses against the Appennin slopes. Winter is tipically cold and damp. Main lows are about -2°C and highs are about 6°C, but during the night is the sky is clear the temperature may fall down reaching -10°C or less.
