- Collocation (wireless metrics)
-
Collocation (co-location) is a technically supported management process using preferably wireless communications support. The basic principle applied for collocation is a single-leg unilateration, taking any suitable metrics to determine the radial distance of two entities, e.g. persons. Such suitable metrics may be wireless RSSI measurement or wireless travel time measurement.
A purpose of collocation is rapid support for starting bi-lateral teaming in one location.
A known approach for simple co-localizing is the Fuzzy locating system. A known application for maintaining co-location of any objects is the electronic leash support.
