Their students and alumni call themselves "Agustinos” (in English Augustinians from Augustine of Hippo).

Agustiniano Norte in popular culture
In 1988, Evelio Rosero published his famous and award-wining book "El Incendiado" (The Burning Man). The novel tells the stories of a group of teenagers from the school.
