Cold Specks Also known as Al Spx Genres Soul music Years active 2011–present Cold Specks is the stage name of Al Spx, a Canadian singer songwriter, now based in London.[1] She appeared on Series 39, Episode 7 of "Later with Jools Holland".[2] Her debut single "Holland" was released on October 17, 2011,[3] and she is currently working on an album with producer Rob Ellis. Her musical style has been described as "doom soul" and shows the influence of American deep south gospel.[4]
