Clydeview Academy is a non-denominational secondary school situated in Gourock, Inverclyde. It was founded in 2011 and opened to pupils on 17th August 2011. The first rector of the school is Mr Willie Todd.

About The School

The school is a modern merger of two secondary schools from the local area, Greenock Academy and Gourock High School who both closed their doors to pupils at the end of the 2011 summer term. The school is founded on the old site of St. Columbas High School, Gourock which is known as the Bayhill site.

The school is set to offer a wide range of subject areas to its pupils on opening the later half of 2011. The staff of the newly created 'Clydeview Academy' will comprise of teachers, senior management teachers and staff from both Greenock Academy and Gourock High School. The school hosts particularly extensive physical education facilities with numerous outdoor pitches on the Bayhill site and indoor facilities such as a large gym hall and a fitness gym. The newly created art and design department includes an outdoor balcony area which can be utilised in good weather.

Senior Management Team

The Senior Management Team comprises four teachers from Gourock High School and one teacher from Greenock Academy. They are responsible for many aspects of the running of the school.
