Cloud 9 Living is one of the largest experience gift companies in the United States, offering over 1,700 experiences in 43 major US cities. The company is based in Boulder, Colorado.

History

Cloud 9 Living was founded in 2005 by John Augst and Adam Michaels who both left careers in other industries to start the company. After nearly 9 months of building the website and signing up the first phase of Experience Providers, they went live with 500 experiences in 8 cities. Currently, Cloud 9 Living offers more than 1,700 unique experiences in 43 cities nationwide.[1].

Awards & Recognition

Cloud 9 has been featured on numerous local network television programs in several major US markets. They were also featured on The Today Show in February 2010 as a top pick for a unique Valentine's Day gift idea and were mentioned on The Today Show in November 2007.

They have also been featured in Outside Magazine, Readers Digest, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Denver Post, Bloom Magazine, Parade Magazine, and several other well respected local and national publications[2].

In 2009, Cloud 9 Living was named the 2nd fastest growing company in Northern Colorado on the Boulder County Business Report's Mercury 100 List, experiencing a 518% increase in revenue from 2006 to 2008[3].

In August 2010, Cloud 9 Living was ranked #468 in the annual Inc 500 ranking of the 500 fastest growing private businesses in the US, reporting a 642% increase in revenue over a 3 year period.[4][5][6]
