Cleo Syvestre (born 19 April 1945 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire) is an actress who has made numerous appearances on United Kingdom television over a 40 year period.
Her father was born in Trinidad and served as a Royal Air Force pilot and her mother was born in Yorkshire. She attended the Italia Conti Academy and is perhaps best known for her roles in Crossroads (as Melanie Harper), Till Death Us Do Part, Grange Hill, The Expert, The Bill and recently the film Kidulthood.
On stage she has appeared in West End productions and with the National Theatre Company. She is also an artistic director of the Rosemary Branch Theatre and a playwright.
In 1964 she released a single, To Know Him Is To Love Him, produced by Andrew Loog Oldham and backed by the Rolling Stones.[1] After Brian Jones left the Rolling Stones in 1969, she agreed to rehearse with his new band.[2]
