Cleaver Heath Nature Reserve

Cleaver Heath Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in Heswall, on the Wirral Peninsula]], managed by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust.

Overlooking the Dee estuary, the heathland features heather and bright yellow gorse in summer. A footpath runs lengthways through the reserve, to the east of which the ground is dominated by mature heather, with sphagnum mosses also present. The surrounding woodland is dominated by birch and oak, along with rowan and holly. Common lizards bask on the sandy paths; butterflies and a range of birds inhabit the woodlands.
