The City Fire Brigade Gibraltar is the Fire and Rescue Service of the City of Gibraltar.
Establishment of the Fire Brigade
It was embodied in law on the 16 June 1976 as the Fire Service Act Law Number 19 of 1976. Under Section 3 of the Act the City Fire Brigade was established:
"3.(1) There shall be a fire brigade, to be called the City Fire Brigade, for the purpose of protecting life and property in case of fire or other calamity and of extinguishing fires endangering life and property within Gibraltar, other than those areas for the time being occupied by the Ministry of Defence."
