Valenciennes, 1836Cirripectes variolosus is a species of combtooth blenny found in coral reefs in the Pacific ocean.[1] It was first named by Achille Valenciennes in 1836,[1] and is commonly known as the Red-speckled blenny, Red-tipped fringe blenny, or the Banded fringe blenny.[2]
