Poey, 1860Chromis cyanea, also known as Blue Reef Chromis, or just Blue Chromis is a fish from the western Atlantic Ocean that occasionally is kept in marine aquariums.
Appearance
A small marine fish that reaches 15 cm (6 inches) in length. It is typically blue with a black margin on its back.
In the Aquarium
The Blue Chromis should be bought in groups of odd numbers (1,3,5,7... etc...) a 30 gallon aquarium is recommended for these, if not more. They get along with others of the Chromis species, again, in odd numbers. They are reef safe and will not harm fish of similar size, they may pick on small fish if not fed enough.
