Christopher R. Barron is the cofounder of GOProud, a political organization representing gay conservatives. The president of CapSouth Consulting, a political consulting firm, Barron served as the national political director for Log Cabin Republicans, where he directed the organization’s federal lobbying efforts and media relations.
Barron graduated with honors from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he was a member of Wake Forest Law Review and was the Wake Law Faculty Scholar. He has appeared on MSNBC's The Ed Show[1], NBC, CBS, CNN, Fox News's Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld. He has stated that he served in the Air Force Reserve.[2]
On May 25, 2011, Barron made mention of his own Wikipedia page during a segment on RedEye discussing Wikipedia's desire to be on the World Heritage List. He stated that he was upset before he had one, and is now upset that he does have one, and wonders who all those people are that are putting stuff up about him. He claimed he would like to meet someone who contributes to Wikipedia.[3]
Barron lives in Washington, D.C., with his partner Shawn.[4]
